Black Currant (Ribes nigrum) leaves and seed oil contain a rare, highly therapeutic combination of Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) in the seed oil and rich flavonoid glycosides (rutin) and vitamin C in the leaves. GLA is metabolized into anti-inflammatory prostaglandins (PGE1) that suppress joint and skin inflammation. The leaves act as an outstanding aquatic diuretic that flushes out excess fluid and uric acid without irritating kidneys.
