Walnut

Walnut (Juglans regia) leaves are rich in naphthoquinones (such as juglone), flavonoids, and condensed tannins. Juglone is a highly potent natural antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiparasitic agent that effectively inhibits skin pathogens, fungi, and parasites. The abundant tannins provide a powerful astringent effect that constricts skin tissue, dries up oozing eczema lesions, and controls excessive perspiration.

Safety and warnings

Generally safe topically. Long-term continuous oral use is not recommended due to high tannin content (interferes with iron absorption) and trace naphthoquinones. Discontinue if skin irritation or rash occurs.
