The partially dried berries of Serenoa repens, rich in fatty acids and phytosterols. Saw palmetto inhibits 5-alpha-reductase (the enzyme converting testosterone to dihydrotestosterone / DHT) and blocks DHT binding to androgen receptors, relieving BPH urinary symptoms and supporting hair follicle preservation.
